Shopped: Where I Graduated

by Ruiz on Mar.02, 2010, under shopped

whereigraduated Chloe and I visited the Tower of the Americas during our weekend trip. We watched the sun set over the city as it began to brightly light up. Afterwards, we visited her neighborhood and she gave me a guided tour of her high school. The school was pretty darn big, roughly 1.5x the size of Killeen High School. It was a great experience to have her show me around and tell me about her cherished high school memories and experiences. In the background of this photo is an aerial view the San Antonio Alamodome, the place where Chloe graduated from Judson Senior High School on Wednesday, June 4, 2008. I hope this picture serves as a reminder of how far she’s come since her high school graduation and that she continues to go even further! :)

Shopped: Seed to your Heart

So… Can I plant the seed to your heart? ;)

Just in case you didn’t know, the plant was not Photoshopped. Each picture was hand drawn with a LED multi-color flashlight while being captured by the camera. You can tell I’m not a good artist, I had a hard time drawing the heart correctly! :(

Finals are OVER!!

by Ruiz on Dec.15, 2009, under life, shopped

finals Christ, it’s taken forever, but goodbye finals and hello Christmas break!! I finished all of my finals with no problems or difficulties at all. All of my classes are finished with A’s and B’s, bringing me closer to the 3.5 GPA mark. HECK YEAH!! Hopefully everybody is just as relieved as I am. All those late nights of staying up and slaving away on a diet of coffee and energy drinks paid off, didn’t it? ;)

The end of the year is always the best time of the year. I can now finally focus on Christmas shopping and leisurely activities such as STREET FIGHTER IV MOTHA TRUCKA! I’m just kidding. I received my arcade stick back quite a while back so I’ve been playing a bit here and there, a lot less than I did before of course. I opened my Facebook back up late last week. It feels good to be back. Twitter is pretty convenient and it did hold me over while I was away, but it just isn’t as powerful because not too many personal friends are on it. It feels good to waste time on Facebook. and not suffer any punishment from it. :]

For the rest of the year, I want to spend as much time with as many friends as possible. I look forward to the endless hangouts and great times. Good things are only going to continue happening and I can’t wait for it!! I hope that everybody feels the same and continues to stay warm. Seriously, it was pretty warm for a bit, but the freezing cold came back from out of nowhere! O.o

Shopped: Place to Unwind.

by Ruiz on Dec.09, 2009, under life, photos, shopped

Hello again! I hope you all are feeling well and healthy. Is everybody busy studying?

After much thinking, I decided to finally turn my Facebook account back on because the semester is almost over. But because it can still be a distraction, I will not log into it until exam finals are over. Instead, I will have Twitter update my Facebook status.

Ah, finals are here! I studied very hard and at the last minute for an English exam yesterday. What sucks is that it was only the essay portion of the exam that we took, so I studied all of the wrong content! Even though I did not know much about the story I was to write about, I still feel that I wrote a pretty convincing essay. I really hope I get a good grade on that essay. On the plus side, I received an 87 on my semester English paper. I was really surprised, I did not expect such a high grade! I usually get C’s on most of my college English papers so this was really a treat. I’m kind of disappointed at the same time though. If I took the time to correct a few minor mistakes, I would’ve had an A.

Ack, enough about school. Take a look at this photo I took back in early November. It’s a stitched panoramic photo of the Belton Dam at night. This is my favorite getaway spot. Whenever I feel stressed or upset, I always come here to try and take my mind off things. If I’m angry I can just yell all of my troubles away without anyone hearing from miles. Yeah that’s right, I yell at the sky. Don’t judge me. The lake and the starry night sky (whenever it’s not cloudy) are both beautiful and help me to relax. Unfortunately it was cold and cloudy that night when I took the picture. The stars were not visible but the fog helped the lights brighten the sky. I added stars just to show how great it would look if you were there on a perfect night. So yeah, enough of my blabbering. Take a look!
